Slot Race....

On Friday night, we ( me and Tina) were in Ogden at the Bosen futurity and slot race.  She won the futurity there last year and placed in the slot race with Vauna riding her.  Never did I ever think in just one short year that I would be riding her in that same slot race.  Who did I think I was entering such a big race....300.00 entery fee..... and with all of those really good riders!!!!!  There were girls that were going to the NFR this year, and girls that had been to the NFR other years entered.  Fifty runners total...I have to admit I was nervous, but I just decided to run it and do the best I could do.  My friend and teacher and best buddy, ended up winning the race with a 13.4, winning $6,000.00.   I ended up just out of the money with a 13.7.  It was so awesome, Tina ran like the wind and I stayed on.  That is quite an accomplishment, staying on.  I love her and we are getting better every run we make.  So much fun...I hope my years don't run out before my fun runs out.
